Rouge Poetry is a weekly spoken word night created by the Breath In Poetry Collective (BIP). The BIP’s mission is to nurture, develop and advance spoken word poetry and storytelling in the Edmonton community, creating space for artistic expression. Featuring local, renowned and aspiring poets from across Canada, in an inspiring night of poetry filled with a wide range of poetic styles and local musical talent from all genres. Home to the Edmonton Poetry Slam in collaboration with the Edmonton Poetry Festival, which proudly supported the participants that made it to the national stage at the Canadian Festival of Spoken Word (CFSW) bringing home the 2011 CFSW Championship trophy!!! Try our enticing New York thin crust pizzas and our mouth-watering Salt 'n' Rouge Wings while listening to the words of Edmonton's most inspirational poets. Making it on it's 3rd year with Rouge Resto-Lounge, it has become the only one of it's kind in Edmonton!
